A panel only makes power while the sun is on it. Paired with a power station, it refills the battery during the day so you have power at night and the next morning. Our panels are made for that pairing, and every EcoFlow we rent accepts solar input.
Our top pairing is the EcoFlow 2048Wh (DELTA 3 Max) with the 220W panel — the combination we recommend for multi-day basecamps, events and running a fridge plus a Starlink.
Pairing Guide From EcoFlow's Official Specs
Each power station has a maximum solar input. Panel output above that limit isn't used, so match the panel to the station. Limits below are EcoFlow's published solar input ratings:
- EcoFlow 2048Wh (DELTA 3 Max): up to 500W solar input (11–60V, 13A). Recommended panel: 220W.
- EcoFlow 768Wh (River 2 Pro): up to 220W solar input (11–50V, 13A). Recommended panels: 100W or 220W.
- EcoFlow 245Wh (River 3): up to 110W solar input (11–30V, 8A). Recommended panels: 45W or 100W.
What Affects Solar Charging
Real-world output is usually below a panel's rated watts. Sun angle, time of day, season, clouds, shade, dust and panel heat all reduce it, so we don't promise charge times. For the best results, face the panel toward the sun, re-aim it a few times a day, keep it free of shade, and charge the station from the wall before your trip.
